The workshop POTA aims at fostering new interactions between people working on optimal transport and people working with optimal transport in various application fields.
These include, but are not limited to, mathematical physics, quantum chemistry, collective motion, game theory, economics and finance, and data sciences and signal processing.
Young researchers at an early stage of their career (graduate students and/or recent PhD) are especially invited to apply for participation.
The workshop will be held in the beautiful Palazzone, a monumental building dating back to 1521 and owned by the Scuola Normale Superiore, where the organizers can host up to 20 young researchers for the duration of the workshop. Accepted participants will be offered lodging in double rooms for 5 nights
and the lunches. In exceptional cases and subject to available resources full funding (i.e. including dinners and travel expenses) can be considered.
Applications should be sent to workshop.pota2019@gmail.com by March 26 and should include a short introductory letter explaining the interest to attend the conference, a CV with list of publications and the names of one or two senior researchers who could be contacted by the organizers for reference purposes.>
